The Space: A light and gorgeous second-floor apartment, this impressive 2 bedroom/1 bath unit is the ideal combination of old and new, painted with a traditional yet fresh Charleston color palate and mid-century modern inspired furnishings. Art by native Charlestonians depict the local scene and books of local interest grace the walls and facets of this comfortable flat. Like the Sazerac itself, the demure size of the living space is rather deceiving as
this unit really packs a punch!

With a combined, entirely equipped kitchen and living area, the space can accommodate up to six with use of the well-appointed sleeper couch,
accepting for an additional place to lay one’s head and provide room for the whole family. A cavernous balcony, striking for calming or dining al fresco, is accessible through the primary bedroom which features a king-sized bed, plenty of clothes storage, and flat screen tv. The Spring St. facing second bedroom is light and cozy, an ideal space for
kids to share.

Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Charleston area rental experience:

When to visit Charleston & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Summer is high season in Charleston. To find the best rental within your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Charleston area restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • In the Charleston area area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Charleston area visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain coupons for local tours and attractions.

Selecting the perfect rental home:

  • First, have your group agree to trip dates and a max budget.
  • 6 blocks to King St. has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
