Isle of Palms vacation rental booking tips:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- To get the best rental for your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Charleston area restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Charleston area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking the best Charleston area rental:
- Select a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Well-Appointed Villa Overlooking 6th Green on the Links Ocean Golf Course! Pool & Pickleball Courts! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Charleston area vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property manager before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
