The Nicholas provides a technology-forward guest experience. Our cleaning team is on site daily should you want your room refreshed. Our guest services team is intermittently at the property throughout the day. Our evening concierge is on site 2-8pm Thu/Fri/Sat and 2-6pm Sun/Mon. Our guest services team can be reached daily 8am-10pm via phone or text.

The Nicholas second floor carriage home suite has been completely remodeled to provide a great option for a modest group or family. The carriage home suite has a king room and a separate living room that includes a refrigerator and coffee bar, secretary’s desk, and pull out couch. The two rooms share one bathroom.

Although upgraded to provide the modern amenities of daily life, the woodwork, wood floors, and other historic antebellum features have been ideally preserved and restored to offer guests all the chic and modern amenities you’d expect in your own home with the beauty and history of architecture that is 225 years old. This suite has spectacular and unique slate roof lines and the quality craftsmanship of the 18th century, while providing modern conveniences and upgrades for the best of both worlds.

The front door to your room opens to a spiral staircase down to our outdoor terrace that offers a comfortable sitting area where you can have your morning coffee, savor a glass of wine, or have a dip in our pool while taking in the lavish appeal of downtown Charleson’s historic landscape. The carriage home is comfortable and peaceful. It is an splendid way to be in the action of the city while appreciating a feeling of seclusion and serenity.

Please note the only access to the Carriage House Suite is via a narrow spiral staircase.

Guest Access:
Each of our guest rooms can be accessed by a keyless door code for ease of entry, and accepts for a zero-interaction check-in/check-out process. A door code specific to each guests’ stay will be included the day prior to your check-in. The other areas of the inn will be shared with other travelers. Breakfast is served daily in the common area lounge on the first floor. If you have any questions about directions or access to the property, our team would be happy to assist.

FAMILY PETS - As much as we appreciate the four-legged members of your family, we do not allow family pets at this property.

SMOKING - No smoking is allowed. Violators will be fined for in-room smoke damages. Smoking is only allowed outside of the property at least 10 feet away please.

CLEANING - Cleaning services are available during your stay for an additional fee.

LUGGAGE DROP-OFF - For guests with early arrival or late departure flights, bags dropoff is allowed upon request for complimentary.

NOISE - Please note that there is a noise ordinance in this neighborhood from 10pm to 8am daily, so if you are enjoying yourself please stay inside and be considerate of the neighbors.

COVID - Please be advised that COVID-related cancellations are no longer honored. If a positive COVID diagnosis or exposure to COVID prohibits or alters the guest (or any individuals in the guest's group) from traveling to the property, the standard cancellation policy will remain in force. Should a guest choose to cancel their reservation under these circumstances, a refund will not be issued, and we shall have no liability with respect to the reservation.

EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES HURRICANE POLICY: If a Mandatory Evacuation Order is issued by the Governor during the dates of your stay specifically for the county in which the property is located, the extenuating circumstances policy will be in effect, and we will refund any deposits or payments paid by the guest. We shall have no additional liability concerning the reservation. However, if a Mandatory Evacuation Order is NOT issued, then THE STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT SHOULD THE GUEST CHOOSE TO CANCEL THEIR RESERVATION. If inclement weather in any other part of the country or world during the dates of stay prohibits or alters the guest (or any individuals in the guest's group) from traveling to the property, a refund will not be issued, and we shall have no liability with respect to the reservation.
