SECOND FLOORING
The second floor of The King Charles is accessed through an outdoor stairway off the front porch. This home can be divided into two units for smaller groups, so you will notice that in addition to the common areas downstairs, this floor has a kitchen, living, and dining area of its own. Like the first floor, the living space has an open floor plan - featuring another lounge area, a enormous HDTV, and additional dining accommodations for 8 guests. For your convenience, the upstairs kitchen area has also been supplied with all your basic cooking/kitchenware needs, so you don’t have to go downstairs for those midnight snacks - you’ve got everything you need within reach. As well, you will find the second half of the bedrooms located directly off the common areas on the second floor - each of these rooms, like the ones downstairs, have been embellished with a comfortable king-sized bed and are accompanied by their own private ensuite. Getting the best Charleston vacation property experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • In the Charleston area area, The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Booking your Charleston area vacation rental in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Charleston area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Filter your search:

  • Choose your vacation week and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. The King Charles House
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's an individual Charleston area attraction you crave, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
