She's number one! Welcome to The Eleanor, our brand new home sitting pretty on 20th Avenue on Isle of Palms. A 5-min. walk (.75 miles) from pristine beaches, this 6 bedroom and 4.5 bathroom abode comes with a private heated pool and is steps away from The Refuge, Harris Teeter and the Isle of Palms County Park.

Expertly decorated and personally curated, The Eleanor invites you in to an open-concept living room, dining room and kitchen designed to host a relaxing and sophisticated hideaway. An extension of the alluring living space, step outside to take in the beach breeze from the screened in porch.

On the main floor you'll find 2 of the 6 bedrooms - one with 2 FULL beds and the other with a KING bed. These two bedrooms each have access to a close by hall bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Head up stairs, you'll find the opulent primary suite featuring a KING bed en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and walk-in shower. On this level, you'll find the remaining 3 bedrooms - 2 with cavernous KING beds and a bunk room with one FULL bed and 2 TWIN beds.

Should you need it, the second floor also homes a full-sized laundry room and ample closet space.

Made for sunny days at play, The Eleanor features a gorgeous private pool with a lily pad, loungers and covered garage space with a half bath. Stay close to home and lounge around the pool or make the short walk to the beach. Nearby you'll find all the fun waiting for you at the Isle of Palms Rec Center or head to the Wild Dunes resort for golf, tennis courts, eateries, spa and more.

Isle of Palms features some of the most trendy eateries and cafes east of the Cooper River, and the island offers a wide variety of delicious seafood and other local specialties, including Coda del Pesce, Coconut Joes Beach Grille, both overlooking the Atlantic, Acme Lowcountry Kitchen and the locally adored Sea Biscuit Cafe, that serves up only breakfast, but is well worth the wait. You'll find fresh dining options dotted throughout the island, including Long Island Cafe which is a short five min. walk from The Eleanor.

And if dining with jaw-dropping water vistas is on your bucket list, The Boathouse, located on the water overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and Islander 71 are a must. Located on the point where Morgan Creek meets the Intracoastal Waterway, Islander 71 overlooks the water and has spectacular vistas. Every property in our portfolio is designed to host only vacation guests, and guests of Luxury Simplified Retreats are expected to abide by the rules and NOISE ORDINANCE enforced by the City of Isle of Palms. Those that violate the terms of occupancy, host events, and/or events will result in immediate loss of use. The Eleanor House does not allow family pets. No exceptions. The Eleanor House is a NO SMOKING property. No exceptions.

Access
Your Concierge will meet you at the home upon your arrival to check you in. Should our schedules not line up, your Concierge will walk you through how to get into the property. If you have any questions about directions or access to the property, your concierge will be ready and waiting to assist you by phone. There is room for four (4) cars at the home.

Interaction
Upon arrival, after the established 4PM check-in time, you may enter and exit the rental at your leisure. Your Concierge will meet you at the property upon check-in and provide valuable information about the home. Should an in-person meeting not work out, your Concierge will provide you with all the instructions you will need. We are here to make the check-in process a seamless one!

Our concierge team is committed to delivering exceptional service, impeccable cleanliness and all the amenities of your everyday home. With each stay you will appreciate high thread count linens, spa quality towels, hair dryer, ironing board, washer and dryer, standard coffee maker and Keurig, kitchen cookware and silverware, shower toiletries and soaps, additional linens and towels, air conditioning, cable, and wireless internet, and more. With our concierge services you can choose to have our team handle all the details of your trip. From stocking your refrigerator to reserving beach equipment, there isn't much our Concierge team can't help you with during your stay. And should you need any recommendations, it would be our enjoyment to provide suggestions for eateries, make reservations, organize activities, and answer any questions.

We offer the option to purchase trip insurance through Rental Guardian. We highly recommend adding trip insurance to your reservation, especially if you are traveling during hurricane season (June-November).

At the time of booking, we require a payment of 50% of your total rental amount. The remainder of your balance will be due 30 days prior to your check-in date and will be automatically charged to the card we have on file. If you are booking within 30 days of your expected arrival date, the full payment is due at the time of booking.

The City of Isle of Palms has a noise ordinance starting at 10PM that applies to private residences. Please be mindful of your neighbors. Noise complaints can result in fines and rental termination.

Minimum rental age is 25.

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • To find the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Charleston area restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Charleston area area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Charleston area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Choosing and booking the right Charleston area rental:

  • First and foremost, have your family agree to vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Luxury Beach Living, Pool, Short Walk to Beach has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Charleston area beach you simply love, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
