How to book the best Charleston area vacation property experience:

When to book a Charleston area rental home & When to go:

  • The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Charleston area area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectrental:

  • To start, have your group choose the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Minutes away from Charleston and Beaches!\n\n has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Charleston area vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a particular Charleston area attraction you are crazy about, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
