Our neighborhood is an eclectic blend of original residents and visiting out-of-towners. Based in downtown Charleston's East Side, we savor the beauty of a multi-ethnic, up and coming ambiance that's the true nature of Charleston living. We hope you will too!

Getting around is very simple downtown. Uber and Lyft are commonplace and effortlessly accessible, and riding a bicycle or walking are also very common. Strategies to get the best Charleston area rental home experience:

When to visit Charleston & When to book:

  • In the Charleston area area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Charleston area area. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Charleston area area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Charleston area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the best Charleston area rental home:

  • Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Quaint Southern Charm - 2 BR Downtown Eastside has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, call the host before you book the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation family.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Record any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
