Strategies for getting the best Charleston rental experience:

Getting the best value:

  • To find the best value, consider changing your family's Charleston area vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, , and reduced traffic.
  • In the Charleston area area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Charleston area area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfect Charleston area rental home:

  • First, have your family decide on dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Liberty Place Charleston, a Hilton Club - 2 Bedroom Plus has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what bed configuration is right for your vacation.
  • If there's a particular Charleston area beach you long to visit, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. message the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
