Located next to our creek, you'll see water fowl galore while sipping your morning coffee in our outdoor seating area. Just 15 mins. to Folly Beach & 6 mins. to Downtown Charleston, we are in an ideal location for a fun Charleston hideaway.
This cozy airstream can sleep four, but really is best for just two adults and two kids, or two adults.
The entire airstream is for your use, as well as the outside sitting area on the front deck. The rest of the backyard is shared with our family and the guests in our guesthouse. Please savor the picnic table, hot tub, basketball hoop, & grille!
We are here if you need anything or want to interact, but we leave it up to you how much that happens.

Finding the best Charleston area vacation property experience:
Getting the most from your budget:
- Summer time is high season in Charleston. Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is a great way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Charleston area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain coupons for local tours and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. James Island Airstream- Between Downtown & Folly Beach. Creekside Glamping! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your agreement.
Tips to have a fantastic stay:
- Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
