The Space:
The Sand Swept at The Dune Cottages is a newly constructed stand-alone southern bungalow centrally located in downtown Charleston. Within a short walking distance of King St. and located in the beautiful Cannonborough and Elliotborough neighborhood guests are sure to appreciate diverse dining options and exceptional experiences. Truly a unique stay unlike any other downtown, savor the privacy and coziness of a bungalow with the city at your doorstep.

The Sand Swept at the Dune cottages accommodates up to 9 guests between 3 bedrooms and 3 baths.

Guest Access:
Each Town & Island Co. unit is equipped with coded lock and unique codes that are changed regularly. You will receive all important check-in information 3 days prior to arrival.

Early check-in or late check-out requests are evaluated and granted on a case-by-case basis. We offer a suitcases storage space with a coded lock to the rear of the blue building at the front of the property (56 A & B) for all Blue Haven and Dune Cottages guests to use as needed.

Cannonborough Elliotborough draws young professionals and students from close by colleges to its restored, wood-fronted homes. King, Cannon, and Spring streets, running through the leafy area, are dotted with indie stores, vintage stores, and bakeries. Trendy eateries serve up everything from comforting Southern fare to Mediterranean cuisine, and Upper King Street has hip bars for craft beer and home drinks

Getting Around:
Located in the heart of the Cannonborough and Elliotborough neighborhood, upper King St. and the Charleston peninsula are at your doorstep. Refresh and relax at the Jr. Olympic pool complete with pool-side cabanas or savor the onsite eateries offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and trendy beverages. Guests can also enjoy an indoor gym and exercise studio with daily classes, a recovery room full of spa therapies, private and shared workspaces, live music, and an active calendar of social events.

Once you confirm your reservation at The Wonderer, you will receive a link to book your time to visit the campus. Please note, all exercise classes and ticketed events are offered based on availability and may come at an additional cost.

Each Dune Cottage unit comes with two assigned on-site parking spots adjacent to the building. While theft is rare Charleston is a city and we encourage guests to ensure their cars are locked and all valuables have been removed.

Town & Island Co. welcomes all our furry companions. No pet deposit is necessary, but we do ask guests traveling with their family pets to not allow them on any furnishings to maintain the quality and cleanliness of our human centered spaces.
