The Space: Recently-remodeled four bedroom historic home in the fashionable, laid-back Cannonborough neighborhood close to great eateries & historical sights. This classic Charleston single has an open floor plan with well appointed kitchen & lounge space. Fans of cinema might feel as though they've been transported into one of auteur director Wes Anderson's films, & with good reason. The owner of this home is responsible for set design in some of his works, applauded by fans & critics alike for their attention to detail & dreamlike quality. The home is full of interesting old books & pieces of art.
Upon entering each unit, guests will appreciate kitchen with a gas-burner stove, retro-style refrigerator, dishwasher, & stone-top kitchen island with seating for four. Right next to the kitchen island is a dining room table which can comfortably sit six to eight guests. The room has two antique cast iron fireplaces (decommissioned) - one by the kitchen & one by the living room. The area has a comfortable couch & a mix of funky, mid-century modern chairs + a poof. The TV is a nifty retro-inspired HD Samsung model with a constructed in stand.
One bedroom would be ideal for the kids of the young at heart with bunk beds & an attached bathroom with a shower / soaking tub combo. Both of our King bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Cozy queen sized bed awaits in the last bedroom.
The home has a washer / dryer & a long private driveway with off-street parking for at least two cars.
Parking is located in a shared lot behind the home. Space for 1 compact car is dedicated to the upstairs unit and space for 1 compact car is dedicated for the downstairs unit.
Guests will have exclusive access to the 1st floor of the building. Easily accessible and well lit for your safety.
You can pull your car off the street and into a driveway/parking lot, which makes packing and unpacking a breeze.Guest Access: *Unlock our Exclusive Guest Guide which helps avoid all the tourist traps and drastically helps plan your trip*

How to find the best vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Book your Charleston area rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies supply Charleston area area travel guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Charleston area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your search:
- First, have your family decide on trip dates and a max budget.
- Spacious Living Area has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property management company before booking the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
During your stay:
- Add the host's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
