Charmingly Charleston is an attractively located townhouse located across the street from Colonial Lake and Moultrie Park in downtown Charleston's Historic District. It is a ideal spot for visitors who want to really savor living in Charleston like a local! Our gorgeous home away from home is a alluring place to rest your head while visiting Charleston for a month or longer.

Decorated in a quirky, casual Lowcountry theme, Charmingly Charleston offers two bedrooms, one and a half baths, living room, separate dining room, entirely equipped kitchen, and laundry room. The primary bedroom is enormous with a walk-in closet and a queen-sized bed. The second bedroom is comfortable and has a day bed with trundle and a writing desk.

We are located South of Broad, on Colonial Lake, near the Battery, the Safe Harbor Marinas, and within walking or cycling distance of the Medical University of South Carolina and College of Charleston. A nice walk or pedi-cab ride away you will also find the City Market, Gibbes Museum, and the awesome shopping & dining of King Street.

Appreciate Charleston's excellent eateries, antique stores, historic and ghost walking tours, horse drawn carriages, tours of historic homes, harbor cruises, and the South Carolina Aquarium all close by!

It is also an simple commute to Boeing or a jaunt across the peninsula to Charleston Law School. Additionally you are just a short drive from five beaches, seven marinas, and more golf courses that I can recall.

Don't wait, just grab your toothbrush and come on!

Interested in staying longer? Ask me about our lease prices for three or more months that include housekeeping, Internet, and utilities.

Please note, that per Charleston's draconian ordinances, we are a monthly rental and do not rent by the nighttime. However, at these marvelous rates, you can book for a month for the cost of two weeks in the event district!

Cancellation Policy
We are not the Hilton, and when you make a reservation, we hold the space for you and turn away other guests so you will have this special place. People searching for monthly units usually book 6-12 months in advance, as such we are not able to offer “flexible” cancellations.

If you have any questions, please contact me. We appreciate hosting and sharing our city with others, and we hope to see you soon!

Charleston area vacation rental home tips and tricks:

Find your perfect rental:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To get the best value, change your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Charleston area area visitors guides that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the perfect vacation home in Charleston:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Townhouse on Colonial Lake, Near the Battery, King Street, and Marinas has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. If they are not listed, email the host before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your family is bringing pets, search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Additional considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • During check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
