Traveling with a group? En-suite bathrooms are the way to go, and that's exactly what we offer.

This welcoming three-bedroom, 3-bath English Basement apartment offers visitors convenient access to all that Charleston has to offer. Housed in a historic Charleston single home constructed in the late 1800s, the apartment is steps from the city’s best stores and eateries and is comfortably walkable to MUSC and the College of Charleston.

The apartment freshly underwent a full remodel, finished in spring 2017. Measuring just under 1,000 square feet, the apartment offers three bedrooms each featuring premium linens and its own full bathroom with shower. Thoughtful care has been put into crafting a clean and efficient space that offers all of the amenities of a boutique hotel (bath products, high-end towels and linens, hair dryers, iron, wi-fi, premium TV channels, etc.) with the added convenience of a full, chef-ready kitchen, washer/dryer, and a classic secluded brick patio for appreciating the nearly year-round comfortable temperatures Charleston offers its visitors.

Free parking is offered for guests in a private parking lot located across from the apartment.

This apartment is on the lower level of the three-story property. The home features two additional 3 BR/3 BA units on the first and second floors, which can be rented in conjunction with this apartment for bigger groups. Please inquire if interested.

Absolutely no events or late-nighttime noise will be tolerated.

Visitors can shop for tailored menswear at Indigo & Cotton located directly next door and across from the apartment; indulge in the city’s most striking bakery – Sugar Bakeshop - located just across the street from the rental; and peruse the selection of handmade bags and leather goods at J. Stark, just down the block.

Many of the city’s most notable eateries are located in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood, or an simple walk from the rental. In an October 2017 Thrillist article on where to eat in and around Charleston now – 11 of the 29 Charleston eateries listed are in painless walking distance to the home (the rest, an easy car or cab ride away): O-Ku, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, Chez Nous, The Darling Oyster Bar, The Grocery, Indaco, The Ordinary, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Warehouse, Chubby Fish.

How to find the best Charleston area rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • In the Charleston area area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Summer months are high season in Charleston. Book your Charleston area rental in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to choose the perfect rental home in Charleston:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Beautiful English Basement Apartment in Historic District with Private Patio! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Have a great stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
