Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental experience:

When to visit Charleston & When to reserve a rental home:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Book your Charleston area rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Charleston area visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select your dates and budget.
  • Blocks from King St has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's a certain Charleston area attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
