This one queen bedroom suite is designed for rest, offering sound machines, surrounded by cypress shiplap walls and centuries-old heart pine—much of it dating back to the early 1600’s. The bathrooms are masterful blends of history and luxury, tiled with original repurposed Vermont slate dating to 1851, when the home was constructed by shipwrights. Salvaged standing-seam tin from the original front porch roof forms a striking backsplash behind the hand-hammered, nickel-plated vessel sink. A period-inspired water closet sourced from Kent, England complete the Old World aesthetic. Getting Around:

The location is appealingly suited for walking, but Uber and Lyft are also readily available.



Other Things to Note:

We are three blocks from King Street, right in the middle of all Charlestonian activity. Incredible eateries such as Southbound, Verns, 167 Raw, Malagon, Indaco, and Azur. Great places to have drinks are even closer at places like Felix, Stars, Babas, and Prohibition. There are also great niche eateries closer than King Street, such as coastal Italian at Allora or creative Indian at Rivayat. If you want the full Charleston experience, a walking tour or carriage tour is a must. If you have sea legs and are aiming for total immersion into history, the steamboat runs to Ft. Sumter daily and you can land your two feet exactly where the Civil War started.
