The Lodge Alley Inn is conveniently located just steps from Charleston Harbor, the Market and Rainbow Row. Once the valet parks your car, let our concierge arrange a historic walking tour or a horse-drawn carriage to take you around town.

For a four-star meal and an broad wine selection, dine at the neighboring High Cotton restaurant, a winner of Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence since 2003.

After dinner, take a leisurely walk around the historic district or just relax in the courtyard and chat by the fountain. Upon returning to your room, relax in the ambience of Charleston’s long history, ascend a spiral staircase to a comfortable loft.

Valet: $50/nighttime. Perk: Finest for in-and-out privileges, as the Cumberland garage across the street restarts its daily max. fee every time you exit.

Cumberland Street Garage (Best Self-Park) Location: 90 Cumberland St (literally one min. away, directly across the street). Cost: $1.00 per 20 mins., up to a $24 daily max.. Details: This is a public city-operated garage. Keep in mind there are no "in and out" privileges; if you leave and return, the rate clock resets.

Street Parking: Surrounding downtown streets (e.g., Cumberland St, East Bay St). Cost: Metered prices apply during the day. Perk: Street parking is complimentary on Sundays and generally complimentary after 6 PM until 9 AM. Always read signage carefully, as parking violations can be costly.

Construction:
As part of ongoing development in the surrounding area, construction is scheduled to take place adjacent to the resort through June 2027. During the daytime, Guests may experience construction-related sights and sounds. The resort will remain entirely accessible during this time.

Other notes:
We cannot guarantee unit placement. Our historic buildings home many unique units, some requiring stairs. Downtown noise is unavoidable, but we do offer white-noise machines, ear plugs, and box fans. No daily maid service, but towel exchange is available. 7+ nighttime stays have a mid-week cleaning option.

Pre-check in:
The resort welcome guests arriving prior to 4pm. Guests may pre-register with the front desk on their day of arrival after 12 noon, unload suitcases, and utilize the valet service. When your room is available, the resort will call the guest's cell phone. Pre-registration helps avoid the long waits at 4pm.
