Finding the best rental home experience:
Finding your best deal:
- In the Charleston area area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Summer is high season in Isle of Palms. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local Charleston area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in Isle of Palms:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Beautiful Home w\/ Deck, Walk to the Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If not, contact the property management company before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
