How to get the best rental home experience:
Find your best deal:
- In the Charleston area area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Summer is the most expensive season in Charleston. Reserve your Charleston area rental property in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many management companies supply Charleston area area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing the perfect rental in the Charleston area area:
- Start by choosing your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. The Daniel Legare Suite In the Heart of Charleston has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your family.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a particular Charleston area attraction you long to visit, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
