Vacation rental booking tips and tricks:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- In the Charleston area area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summer time is high season in Isle of Palms. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Selecting the perfect vacation home in Isle of Palms:
- Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Spacious Beach Home w\/Boat Parking! Easy Walk to Marina, w\/Gameroom! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
