You also do no need to purchase Accidental Damage protection through Homeaway as it is already supplied in our price.
Each reservation is charged a $1,000 returnable security deposit. The security deposit will be run in the week leading up to your arrival, and will be fully refunded within 30 days of your departure after we have inspected the home for any major damages. Sometimes this is done and returned quicker than 30 days. This security deposit is not supplied in your quoted rate on Vacation Rental By Owner/Homeaway.

How to get the best rental experience:
Getting the most from your rental home budget:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summer is high season in Isle of Palms. Book your vacation in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Charleston area area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.
Finding the perfect vacation home in Isle of Palms:
- Choose vacation dates and max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. ????Coastal Sunrise????Ocean Front on Ocean Blvd. Private Pool\/hot tub, stunning ocean views! has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's an individual Charleston area destination you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
Some things to know before you go:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
