About this Property

  • Sleeps 4
  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 2 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home

An authentic Charleston home that offers "southern appeal" in a convenient location downtown. Located in the East Side, an “up-and-coming” neighborhood only blocks from many of the hotspots in Charleston. Appreciate walking the bridge and strolling to stores. Rent and ride bicycles to the markets or breweries. Bars, eateries, and downtown wedding venues are all less than five mins. away. You are right in the middle of everthing Charleston has to offer.

The space
Downstairs:
•Outside porch space and backyard access
•Entirely outfitted kitchen
•Living room with sectional couch and modest dining table

Upstairs:
•Laundry area at the top of the stairs
•Master bedroom with queen bed and private en-suite bathroom
•Second bedroom with queen bed
•Third bedroom with queen bed
•Second full bathroom shared between the bedrooms

Guest access
The home is a duplex with a separate one bedroom unit located on the first floor at the front of the home. Guests will have access to the entire second unit, the driveway for off-street parking, and the entire backyard. Please note that the upstairs porch is used for owner storage and is closed off for guests.

Other things to note
$75 non-returnable pet fee. Intention to bring pet and type of pet must be disclosed upon booking. Pet fee will be requested through the app after checking in. Failure to disclose the presence of pet will result in an additional $100 fine.

The home is stringently non-smoking indoors.

Please note that the home is located in a neighborhood that is in the midst of a rapid gentrification. It is a mix of younger families, young professionals, college students, and lower income housing. While we feel the home is in a great location (with a Walk Score of 80) and the locals in Charleston are as friendly as the come, the optics of the neighborhood may not be for everybody.

About the Area

Located in Charleston, this vacation home is in the city center. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Waterfront Park and Riverfront Park, while South Carolina Aquarium and Patriots Point are popular area attractions. Check out an event or a game at North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center, and consider making time for USS Yorktown, a top attraction not to be missed. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as motor boating.

How to book the best vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Charleston area area visitor guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Charleston area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing and booking the right Charleston area vacation home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Charming, Authentic East Side Home~Bridge Views ???? has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a particular Charleston area destination you long to visit, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
