These apartments have one king bedroom with a huge modern bathroom, a galley kitchen, and ample living space with a expansive window overlooking Charleston’s historic Fire Station 6, serving the Holy City since 1888.

Centrally located in downtown Charleston, in an area full of notable eateries, locally owned stores and cafes, and lively entertainment venues, this new 4 story brick and wood addition to the Firetower complex, complete with off-street parking, is your ideal home base for exploring all Charleston has to offer.

Each apartment in this appealing new property is the ideal location to experience the local flavor in one of downtown Charleston's most buzzed-about neighborhoods. Each of the three levels above the lobby contains 7 unique units, most with a striking furnished balcony.

All 21 units have central heat and air, dedicated WIFI, and a TV in every living room and bedroom for your comfort and convenience. From modern, ceramic-tiled bathrooms with a sliding glass door shower in each unit, to bespoke kitchens with stainless steel appliances and cooking implements, you have access to all the creature amenities of home in these well-appointed apartments. The entire property is secured by entry-door touchpads with assigned pin codes that change with each visitor. Last but not least, from level 4 up a side stairway you will find the rare conveniences of a roomy, private rooftop deck, with a charming view of the many steeples, historic buildings, and bridges that make up Charleston's skyline, the ideal place to take in the sunset or watch as stars fill the nighttime sky.

As you venture out to discover, just steps outside the lobby door, you’ll find “Baba’s on Cannon”, a neighborhood staple serving up the best espresso and cappuccino in town, as well as breakfast pastries, craft beverages, simple handsome tapas, and an expertly curated wine list. Inside, avoid the line and download the Baba's app to place a prepaid order to go. Next door to Baba's is the conveniently located "Queen Anne's Liquors" with everything needed to provision a pre-dinner drink on your private balcony. Just across the street is James Beard Award-winning chef, Mike Lata’s acclaimed seafood and raw bar restaurant, “The Ordinary” (reservations on RESY are always a good idea, but two can open comfortable up to the bar and order from the full menu).

As you head down King Street toward famed Battery Park (a 30-min. walk) each handsome block is steeped with historic architecture, beautiful native flora, and an eclectic mix of stores, bars, and eateries. If you walk in the other direction, there are many appealing, locally-owned bouquets and modest eateries cropping up down Cannon and Spring Street, with The Aquarium and Market Street just a short drive or long walk away.

The 21 units in the new Firetower building round out an existing complex of 10 short-term apartment rental units adjacent on each side that have been inviting visitors to relax and relax with us for over 5 years. Located amidst Charleston’s vibrant King Street social scene, the old Cannon Street home contains 4 apartments and the King Street complex has 6 units lined up in a row beside our cavernous rooftop patio - which is accessible at all times, and for solely the use of our guests.

Tips and Tricks to get the best Charleston area vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • Summer is high season in Charleston. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Charleston area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and choose the perfect Charleston area rental home:

  • Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Beautiful downtown condo with a full kitchen, central AC, & rooftop deck has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the property manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
