Getting the best Isle of Palms rental experience:
When to visit Isle of Palms & When to book:
- June, July, and August are high season in Isle of Palms. Reserve your vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Charleston area area visitors guides which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Charleston area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the perfect vacation home in Isle of Palms:
- Start by choosing the best vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. 73 Grand Pavilion by AvantStay
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If not, email the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out which bed configuration is best for your family.
- If there's a certain Charleston area beach you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Know before you go:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
