  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.

You can also find Charleston area visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and pick your prefectrental home:

  • Select vacation dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. The Lodge Alley Inn, Charleston, South Carolina, Studio has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a specific Charleston area beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Tips for a smooth stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
