Getting the best Charleston area rental experience:
Sticking to a rental home budget:
- In the Charleston area area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Summertime is high season in Charleston. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to pick the best rental home in the Charleston area area:
- First and foremost, have your family select date ranges and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Great Stay in Charleston, SC. Easy walk to cafes, restaurants, bars, & parks has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is best for your group.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's a specific Charleston area attraction you are crazy about, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas during check in. E-mail the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
