Pre-check in: We welcome visitors arriving prior to the 4pm check-in time. Any time after Noon, visitors may complete pre-check in paperwork, unload bags, and have their car parked by the valet service. When the room is ready, the resort will call the guest’s cell phone. Pre-check in helps avoid the long waits for check in and valet service typical at 4pm.
Smoking policy: No smoking inside. Subject to $300 fine
Parking: Off-site valet parking $20/day for owners, $27/day all other visitors. One car per reservation. No trailers, RVs, motorbikes or upsized cars allowed. Owners and visitors may park in the Public Parking garage for a flat rate of $16/nighttime, however if the car is moved, an hourly rate will apply. The $16/nighttime rate at the parking garage is only if the car is not moved during the 12-hour period. The resort is not responsible for any damages to cars while in the public parking garage.
Deposit mandatory: Upon check-in, each reservation requires a major credit card for a $100 Pre-Authorization.
Other notes: May rent reservations for only one nighttime; additional time reservations have a two-nighttime minimum. Two-story (loft) units typically have spiral staircases, and other unit types also have staircases. We cannot guarantee unit placement. Due to the historic nature of the buildings, floor plans and exact sizes will vary among rooms and suites. While The Lodge Alley Inn does not offer daily maid service, complimentary towel exchange is available for visitors staying less than 7 days. For visitors staying 7 days or more, a complimentary mid-week cleaning service is supplied. The Lodge Alley Inn is located in the heart of Downtown Charleston. Due to the urban location of the resort, visitors may expect to hear city or street noise from guest rooms. The resort has white noise machines, ear plugs, and box fans available on request to help ease city, street and traffic noise.
Construction: One Bedroom units in the Griffith building do not currently have functioning fireplaces.

What will happen after you buy?: After buy you will receive an e-mail confirmation showing your name on the reservation as the guest checking in within 14 days of check in date. Please bring a valid form of Picture ID. We currently do not have other dates available, if you contact us, we can put you on our waiting list for specific unit size or dates at your desired resort.

Name Change & multiple check-in(s) at same unit: After you check out you MUST give the name of the person who is going to check in at our resort. The person checking in MUST BE 21 years old, have a valid form of ID and a credit card in their name. There are NO exceptions. If you would like to change the name of the person checking in after you have supplied this information there will be a $99.00 name change fee.

The name that is on your account at checkout will be placed on the reservation. That name must have picture ID and a cc for damages to check in with our front desk staff. If your name needs to be changed their may be a $99.00 fee
