How to book the best Isle of Palms vacation property experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • In the Charleston area area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Isle of Palms. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Charleston area area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. GORGEOUS Ocean View Seagrove Villa- Right Next to Resort Center! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property manager before booking your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
