Strategies to get the best Isle of Palms rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- To book the largest rental within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Charleston area restaurants, tours, and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local Charleston area visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Selecting the perfect vacation home in Isle of Palms:
- Start by selecting your vacation dates and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 3 Bedroom Cute Beach Home \/ 3-5 minute Walk to Beach with Private Pool! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is right for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
More tips for your visit:
- Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
