Firetower F

Our calendar is refreshed in real-time & our nightly prices are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'

Units D, E, and F have no stairs to navigate once you are inside the units. In each of these 3 apartments, you’ll find 2 King bedrooms, one shared full bathroom with 2 sinks, a newly furnished living area, and a kitchen with 2 counter stools, stainless-steel appliances, and cookware.

We refer to the 6 units at 563 King Street collectively as “Narnia”, because of their storied past as home to some of Charleston’s most enthusiastic young revelers, who lovingly dubbed their temporary abode with this fitting moniker in the 1980s and '90s. Narnia remains a magical place where anything can happen, only now it’s been completely updated into 6 luxury apartments that are available to rent by the nighttime or week. This group of apartments is housed on the 2nd level of a building that is over 100 years old, so each one features unique old-world construction elements - like exposed brick and antique heart pine floors, blended with shiplap accent walls. These apartments were all newly refurbished to provide a seamless experience with the interiors of the 21 units in the freshly constructed Firetower building, which is attached at the far end of the breezeway.

Each of Narnia’s six apartments is adjacent to a roomy, open-air deck, which is for the use of Firetower guests only. This common space is furnished with four comfortable conversation areas and has globe-string lights above for pleasant glowing evenings under the nighttime sky.

In addition to this gorgeous social space, the property offers a furnished rooftop deck on top of the new Firetower building (take the outdoor stairs at the end of Narnia’s breezeway) From this vantage point is a delightful, 360-degree panorama of the historic steeples, rooftops, and bridges that define the Holy City’s dramatic skyline.

Finding the best Charleston area rental home experience:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. Booking in Fall or Spring is a great way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

How to pick the best vacation rental in Charleston:

  • First, have your group choose a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Beautiful home with full kitchen near restaurants, museums, art galleries has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs applied to your invoice.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
