South Cove Park is a 48 acre park nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and located on the clear waters of 18,500 acre Lake Keowee. Camping is located on a 15 acre peninsula offering 86 campsites with water and electricity on each site with 46 sites waterfront. Two bath houses serve the campground area and a dump station is located near the entrance of the park. The Park offers a wide variety of day use facilities as well as lakeside camping. Day use facilities include four pickleball courts, three tennis courts, basketball, playground areas, picnic areas, a handicapped accessible fishing pier and a waterfront sand beach for sun bathing. South Cove offers two rental buildings/shelters for reunions, birthday parties, award ceremonies, and picnics that are available by reservations.
What to Know
- Each rental includes a Life Vest, Paddle and Whistle
- Each rider must be at least 12 years old to paddle on their own Kayak or Paddleboard
- We also have tandem kayaks for two paddlers and the child can sit in the front of the tandem kayaks
- Our tandem kayaks will also allow for two adults and a small child. The child would sit directly in front of the adult in the back
- Paddling is fun, but can be dangerous. Life Vests must be worn at all times

Tandem Rider Kayak - $60.00 + tax
Tandem kayaks are for two paddlers. Also can fit 2 adults and 1 small child
Paddleboard - $60.00 + tax
Rider must be at least 12 years old to paddle on their own
Booking Notes
Please be on time! If you are late we will not be able to extend your time on the water. If you are going to be late, please call us and we will try to adjust your rental. For example you may have a kayak rented from 10-2 and another family may have the same kayak rented from 2-4.
