description: #A fun way to meet people from all over the country!
People from all over the country have discovered Greenville’s charm and quality of life. The city is easy to fall in love with, but there’s much more to discover beyond the canopied street, storefronts, restaurants and beautiful falls. This tour is meant to give newcomers (and visitors) a working knowledge of what this city is all about. How did we get here? What are the stories behind the businesses, planning, projects, people and things you readily see and appreciate along Main Street?
John Nolan, a 30-year resident of Greenville and author of two books on the city’s history, and will guide you along a one mile walk from the NoMa Square on N. Main to the iconic Falls Park. Get to know the city directly from a local expert who will answer your questions and illustrate the things your learning about with many old photographs of the downtown locations.
Since this tour is targeted for newcomers, guests are encouraged to get to know each other and interact as we have a fun and educational tour of our city. Name tags will be provided.
