description: Join Drayton Hall’s archaeology team for a chance to be an archaeologist! This is a hands-on experience for kids ages 6-12, where we will be sifting through real dirt from our excavations to find real historic artifacts! Learn how the soil colors can tell stories of the past and how archaeologists date the artifacts they find. Discover the methods Native Americans would have used to make clay pots and traditional stylistic techniques used by enslaved Africans that once lived on the property. (Ages 6-12. Parents must be present.)
