Hoping to cast a line in Mount Pleasant? Then Miss Emily Charters has a trip with your name on it! Your guide for the day is Captain Gregg, giving you access to years of sportfishing experience.
You're likely to fish for Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Blacktip Shark, Bull Shark, Amberjack, Vermilion Snapper, Gray Triggerfish, and more if you come at the right time of year.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Miss Emily Charters welcomes kids aboard, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your day begins aboard a 29' Center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Miss Emily Charters!
