About
Come live the Local Life with Captain Bryan or Guide Adam Moore! This experience is for guests who enjoy sipping their way through a new city full of history. This is not a classic "sit there and shut up tour" but an opportunity to engage with a local.
The licensed guide will meet guests at the initial bar establishment and receive a complimentary appetizer and the opportunity to purchase some of the areas finest beers/ mixed drinks while the guide goes over the historic roots of the city. From there, guests will walk the charming alley ways and cobblestone streets of Charleston to several cultural sites included a dungeon, the original city theater, and 300 year old homes.
A second bar will be the site of another brief respite where the guide will relate stories specifically regarding the Prohibition era in Charleston and its affect on the populace. Towards the end of the experience guests will find themselves in a local park along the waterfront for one last exhilarating tale.
About Charleston Historic Tours
The one of a kind perspective from cruising the water of Charleston Harbor provides insight into how this historic city developed since its founding in 1670.
The vessel used is a 22 foot bay boat going over the same seabed that saw a pirate blockade by the dreaded Blackbeard, one of the first major Revolutionary War Victories at the Battle of Fort Moultrie, and a Civil War naval blockade and battle that would inspire movies like ‘Glory’. Captain Bryan will provide history about 5 historic sites (Fort Moultrie, Fort Sumter, The Battery (Oyster Point), Castle Pinckney and the site of Fort Johnson.
Along these tours you will also have the opportunity to see a multitude of native wildlife including the friendly bottlenose dolphin and diving pelicans.
