About
This two and a half hour guided kayak tour in the ACE Basin is a one-of-a-kind experience and wonderful opportunity for bird-watching, dolphin-watching, fresh air and great exercise. Located at the mouth of the internationally known ACE Basin, we leave from our docks out and across the St. Helena Sound to explore the beach of Pine Island at low tide. After a roughly 45-60 minute paddle we will beach our kayaks on the island and explore for 30 minutes before returning. You are sure to have a truly unique educational experience on this tour. Due to the possibility of strong tidal and river current in addition to wind while paddling across the sound, this tour is moderately difficult and for experienced paddlers only.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the time scheduled for the tour.
Please be advised that Kayaking is a strenuous sport. You must be able to paddle your own kayak, sometimes in windy conditions. You also must be able to get into and out of your boat. If you do not think that you are capable of doing so, you might prefer another activity. Pets are NOT allowed on tours!
