March-October: Tours start at 9:00 am, rentals start at 8:30 am
November-February: Tours start at 10:00 or 11:00 am, rentals start at 10:30 am
Rentals are required to be off the water 1 hour prior to sunset
Sunset guided tours are scheduled to return as the run sets

Charleston Outdoor Adventures is located on the pristine Folly Creek just minutes from Folly Beach, 7 miles from downtown Charleston and 13 miles from other surrounding Charleston resort destinations. The Folly Creek estuary system winds through the areas barrier Island systems, Folly Beach, Morris Island and historic Long Island. Folly Creek is a wildlife “hot spot”, where one is almost guaranteed to see wild Atlantic bottlenose dolphin. COA's private location offers a quiet, natural setting away from the hustle & bustle of the city & beach. Our outpost has a boat landing, secure private parking, bathroom/changing facilities, & unparalleled views of the surrounding saltmarsh.

description: Board our motor boat and cruise 9.5 miles through tidal creeks and marshes out to the uninhabited Morris Island. Once you get to the beach, a naturalist will lead you on a 3 hour, multiple-mile beach hike to a remote location where you are likely to find pre-historic fossils. As you hike your guide will discuss fossils, why fossils are found in this area, and what type of fossils you can expect to find. The naturalist will also identify any fossils you find.
