Hours of operation:
March-October: Tours start at 9:00 am, rentals start at 8:30 am
November-February: Tours start at 10:00 or 11:00 am, rentals start at 10:30 am
Rentals are required to be off the water 1 hour prior to sunset
Sunset guided tours are scheduled to return as the run sets

Charleston Outdoor Adventures is located on the pristine Folly Creek just minutes from Folly Beach, 7 miles from downtown Charleston and 13 miles from other surrounding Charleston resort destinations. The Folly Creek estuary system winds through the areas barrier Island systems, Folly Beach, Morris Island and historic Long Island. Folly Creek is a wildlife “hot spot”, where one is almost guaranteed to see wild Atlantic bottlenose dolphin. COA's private location offers a quiet, natural setting away from the hustle & bustle of the city & beach. Our outpost has a boat landing, secure private parking, bathroom/changing facilities, & unparalleled views of the surrounding saltmarsh.

Guests can cancel or reschedule outside of 24 hours without penalty. All tours are nonrefundable within 24 hours of the scheduled departure time. There is a 25% upcharge for rescheduling within 24 hours.
About
The Coastal Culture Tour is for those who want to learn more about the ecological and cultural history of our unique area’s barrier islands. On this 2 hour excursion, you will travel through salt marsh creeks behind Folly Beach, making stops to hear about the local history. Your captain will share information about the formation of barrier islands, their first inhabitants, colonization and slavery, pirates, Civil War battles, and more. Covering waters from the Folly River to Morris Island, this tour will offer views of some of Charleston’s most culturally rich and historically significant areas.
