There’s a fish with your name on it in Charleston and BlackJack Fishing Charters will help you catch it! Your guide for the day is Captain Jason, giving you access to years of local experience.
These waters are known for Amberjack, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Redfish, Black Seabass, Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, and more – with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time.
On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Young ones are welcome, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
You’ll be dropping lines from a 28’ Scout Abaco with capacity for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.
Capt. Jason will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
You can’t go wrong when you bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
