The original unit was constructed by slaves in the 1800s and was then turned into its current building during the 20's to home the Black Militia on James Island. The unit is an open air loft with full kitchen and bathroom and can accommodate 4 individuals pleasantly. The unit has big private parking and is within walking distance to grocery stores, breweries and other eateries on the island.
