Property Description
A stay at High Society offers the chance to really “live like a local” and immerse yourself in all the historic details of this classy, 2 bedroom, 2 bath luxury condo in the heart of historic downtown Charleston. Located in Charleston's striking Ansonborough neighborhood, and part of the historic “The High School of Charleston” building, circa 1840-1842, designed by the famed Charleston architect, Edward Brickell White. The design of the school was recognized as a classic revival in design with six massive Corinthian columns supporting the portico. White also designed many churches and public buildings throughout Charleston.

Not only will you come home to the elegance and grandeur of this unmistakable building, but you'll delight in the original 1840's details including 13 foot ceilings, original heart pine floor, exposed beams and age-old brickwork. Enter through a appealing courtyard in the rear and you'll discover an open and well-appointed living space, dining room that seats 6 guests, compact, well-outfitted kitchen and private office for working remotely if need. Additionally, you'll find a washer/dryer tucked into the kitchen.

You'll find a guest room appointed with a QUEEN bed, and flat screen TV that is adjacent to the full, hall bath. The comfortable primary suite has a KING bed, private ensuite bath, flat screen TV and a pair of French doors that open to the outdoor courtyard, where you can savor coffee and a book on peaceful mornings.

Just a short walk from Meeting Street and King Street, the heart of Charleston's shopping and dining district. With a dedicated off-street parking space, you can leave the car parked and walk to everything in and around Charleston. Local favorites close by include, Muse, Hanks Seafood, FIG, and Frannie & the Fox and fashionable tourist destinations Charleston City Market, The Gailliard Center, and Marion Square.

Access
Each of our luxury vacation units is accessed by a keyless door code for ease of entry, and accepts for a zero-interaction check-in/check-out process. A door code specific to each guests' stay will be supplied by your Concierge on the date of your check-in. If you have any questions about directions or access to the property, your concierge will be ready and waiting to assist you by phone. In addition, for properties with gate or garage access, you will be given this access code on the day of your arrival as well.

Interaction
Upon arrival, after the established 4PM check-in time, you may enter and exit the rental at your leisure with these codes. Additionally, requests can be made for your Concierge to meet you at the property upon check-in. We are here to make the check-in process a seamless one!

With each stay you'll appreciate high thread count linens, spa quality towels, hair dryer, ironing board, washer and dryer, standard coffee maker, kitchen cookware and silverware, shower toiletries and soaps, additional linens and towels, air conditioning, cable and wireless internet, and more. With our concierge services you can choose to have our team handle all the details of your trip. From stocking your refrigerator to reserving beach equipment, there isn't much our Concierge team can't help you with during your stay. And should you need any recommendations, it would be our enjoyment to provide suggestions for eateries, make reservations, organize activities, and answer any questions.

We offer the option to purchase trip insurance through CSA Travel Insurance. We highly recommend adding trip insurance to your reservation, especially if you are traveling during hurricane season (June-November).

At the time of booking, we require a payment of 50% of your total rental amount. The remainder of your balance will be due 30 days prior to your check in date and will be automatically charged to the card we have on file. If you are booking within 30 days of your expected arrival date, the full payment is due at the time of booking.

Minimum rental age is 25.

This condo is located in Charleston Historic District, a neighborhood in Charleston. Port of Charleston Cruise Terminal and Wild Dunes Resort Golf Course are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those in the mood for shopping can visit Charleston City Market and Charleston Tanger Outlets. South Carolina Aquarium and Patriots Point are not to be missed.

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Charleston area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.

Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection.   • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
